WEB 2.0 for ARTISTS

May 1, 2009

Now here’s a great post from the kids over at SAMBA.  One of them writes today about an Icelandic musician and how he’s using his community to hold him accountable to generate music.

The blog is also about how he’s using Web 2.0 in a great way to utilize his community.  It seems to me like a perfect example of where social media is taking artistic endeavours.  Hold on for the ride!

TEST POST

December 6, 2008

My phone all but died a week ago and so Ryan and I took the plunge and finally bought iPhone’s! I’ve been downloading apps each night and just ran across the WordPress app. I’d forgotten that it existed.

I’m pretty excited about being able to blog any time, anywhere.

The photo is of the lamp that’s on right now next to my sleeping husband’s head.

EVEL HAS LEFT THE BUILDING

December 1, 2007

Evel Knievel died yesterday in his home. A lovely obituary was posted by Patricia Sullivan of the Washington Post.

In a related story, I find it morbidly interesting that the three obituary writers for the Washington Post have a blog.

Weird.
