OF DETOURS AND FLOWERS

This morning I intended to only run 4.0 miles; but I missed my turn and consequently I had to run 2.5 miles further.  Freeways.  They kinda get in the way.  Grrr…  Ah well, my mistake only cost me a little extra time, and I gained a better run.  Sometimes mistakes and detours can benefit us in unforeseen ways.

I remember a college professor’s story about how a school van’s flat tire caused a field trip of students to avoid being caught in the middle of a savage tornado.

And so we rejoice in all things!
